We have rebranded Diamond Vision into Dokmee Capture, and it is now integrated it into the Dokmee Document Solutions line. Dokmee Capture is not only a rebranding of Diamond Vision, but a re-written version of the Diamond Vision architectural platform.

Yes, Office Gemini is the developer of the Dokmee Document Solutions suite of products, and is the owner of all source code.

All of our support team are internal staff members of Office Gemini. We have support technicians located in Houston, Texas and in Paris, France offering multi-lingual support. We will soon have support technicians located in our new Singapore office. All of our support staff in every office are fluent in English, and each office also supports local languages as well. We are able to provide support remotely to any clients as long as there is a good internet connection available. We also have trained and certified local resellers though out the world to assist with local and onsite support.

Yes, you can download the FREE trial version of any of our products from the Downloads page.

If you have a valid and current Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP), then you can do a Check for Updates in the Help menu of the program. Check the User Guide to learn how to setup automatic updates.

The software will stop updating, but you can still use it. You will no longer receive technical support. You can renew at any time, but a fee may apply, so make sure to keep your AMP up to date as we are constantly adding new features and improving the product.

Dokmee Document Management Questions

A document management software allows you to manage scanned documents and electronic files. Dokmee Document Management also includes features such as workflow, file retention, version control, audit log, bates label, annotations, and much more.

Dokmee provides HIPAA compliant encrypted user login credentials, HIPAA compliant 192-bit file encryption within the repository, and a HIPPAA compliant Audit Log that records all actions performed by users within the system, and it tracks all activity performed with files with date/time and memo stamps.

Software cannot be "Sarbanes-Oxley Compliant"; however, software can assist you in becoming Sarbanes-Oxley Compliant by helping you meet the requirements of section 404. Excerpt from Bob Tillman, director of public affairs for the Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA): "It gives me a little angst that all these companies are running around and saying their software is Sarbanes-Oxley compliant," Tillman says. "There is no such thing as 'Sarbanes-Oxley compliant.' It's not like HIPAA, which has this litany of rules. The SEC has not laid down a regimen of things that you as a company have to do for Sarbanes-Oxley, other than the certification and the 404 section of the act."

Development on the Dokmee product started in 2003. It was first introduced for sale in the market in 2006.

If you have Dokmee Professional or Enterprise Edition, you must purchase one license per workstation that Dokmee will be installed on; however, you can set up as many users in the system as you want. If you have Dokmee Web, you purchase concurrencies based on how many people need access to the system at one time; however, you can set up as many users in the system as you want.

Dokmee requires Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher. Both the Express and Standard versions will work. Microsoft SQL 2012 Express is embedded in the installer of Dokmee and will automatically install on the same PC as Dokmee if desired.

You can, but it is not necessary. Dokmee stations are networked via a shared instance of Microsoft SQL and a shared Windows folder repository. You only need to install the Dokmee program on the workstations requiring access to the information. If you plan to use it in a multi-user environment, then it is recommended that you install SQL on a server grade machine.

This is a required component of Dokmee. For Windows XP, you need to either run Windows update and select to install the .NET Framework 3.5 on your computer, or for Windows Vista and higher, enable .NET Framework in the Control Panel of your PC. Yes, you can. To upgrade an existing Dokmee system to a different configuration or edition, please visit our Contact Us page or send an email to [email protected] to contact our sales department about your license options and costs. Typically, you will only pay the difference between the price of the license(s) you currently own and the cost of the new license(s).

Yes, Dokmee has a built in Automatic Back-up feature within the Services and Logs section of the Control Panel of the program. You may also use a third party software to back-up the directory that the file repository is stored in and to back-up the SQL database for Dokmee.

Yes, the first person who opens the file has full read and write access, and all others will be able to view the file in read only mode.

Dokmee Web is a self-hosted program that you may purchase and own to install on your server. Dokmee Web works in conjunction with the Dokmee Enterprise product. Dokmee Cloud is a web based document management system hosted within our secure data center as a subscription based service. Dokmee Cloud has all of the great features and functions of Dokmee Web, without the hassle of install and maintenance. When you subscribe to Dokmee Cloud, you do not install any software on your server and you do not own any licenses.

The Dokmee Cloud servers are located in secure data centers in Houston, Texas and Paris, France.
